Dynapower was the first company in the nation to install a utility-scale solar plus storage installation in Rutland, VT with GMP at Strafford Hill. This installation has helped GMP lower its rates and provides critical backup power in case of a grid outage.
Perhaps one of our biggest solar plus storage accomplishments was working to help deploy solar-plus storage on the island of Tua allowing the island nation to be taken off the polluting diesel generators and run completely off renewables and batteries instead. Solar power is one of the fastest growing forms of renewable energy collection and a clear front runner in the energy storage market. In fact, total installed U.S. PV capacity is expected to more than double with more than 15 GW of PV capacity installed annually by 2024.

Our Energy Storage Systems & Inverters
Many renewable energy systems such as solar panels initially store electricity in the form of direct current, or DC power. Energy storage inverters both convert and store that energy for later use. Renewable energy systems also use inverters to help systems switch from directly collected energy to stored power when direct energy sources cannot keep up with demand.
Dynapower’s CPS® inverters are all-in-one inverter systems. They save end-users and integrators expenses because they don’t require add-on components like many other inverters. Dynapower also has its own Micro Power Systems® (MPS) family of industrial and commercial energy storage inverters for microgrid or grid-connected applications.
Our modular, flexible MPS®-125 option enhances the energy transfer between a three-phase grid and a DC energy storage system. This MPS® group offers a complete inverter package with: AC & DC fusing, AC circuit breakers, AC contactors, DC load break contactors, DC manual isolation switch and other elements of switchgear and protection complements. These parts are all incorporated into a single industrial enclosure with additional safety features.
Dynapower energy storage systems typically use Lithium-ion batteries to store power but have also been deployed with a variety of storage technologies including lead-acid and flow batteries, and even flywheels. Black Start power restorers
These components help restore power to a system after a complete outage. Even when the transformer magnetizing currents outstrip the inverters’ power rating, these power restorers can kick-start distribution networks to facilities and multi-CPS® distribution networks.
DYNAMIC TRANSFER MONITORING ALGORITHMS
Renewable energy systems need constantly monitored grids. When the directly collected power can’t meet demand, the system must transfer to locally connected battery power. Dynapower’s Dynamic Transfer algorithm can detect disturbances in the grid system and switch between the grid and backup power.
