Energy Storage Systems for Backup Power
Save Money and Optimize Uptime with Backup Power
Most commercial and industrial customers are left powerless when the grid goes out—which can result in extended downtime and mounting costs. However, by utilizing our energy storage solutions, your business can avoid those unwanted costs all while keeping the lights on during outages.
With concerns about an outdated grid and outages occurring more and more, Dynapower is proud to be on the forefront of the energy storage market. Our systems offer both independence and resiliency for commercial and industrial customers worldwide.
Our behind-the-meter energy storage systems are safe, effective and reliable. Dynapower energy storage products undergo extensive testing right here at our 150,000 square manufacturing facility in Burlington, Vermont.
With the proliferation of behind-the-meter energy storage installations, typically for the purpose of demand response, end users are expecting backup power for these installations. Our MPS®-i125 EHV behind-the-meter energy storage system is purpose-built for switching a facility from grid-tied to battery backup power. This 125kW system uses our proprietary Dynamic Transfer™ to provide seamless battery backup power when you need it most.
For instance, if either the grid voltage or grid frequency goes out of the allowable range, the system will utilize Dynamic Transfer by opening the grid disconnect device and transitioning to microgrid mode.
In addition to battery backup power, another benefit of deploying our energy storage systems is lessening the world’s dependency on fossil fuels by choosing to pair your system with renewables such as wind and solar.
Our MPS®-i125 EHV systems can be paralleled together to meet the sizing needs of any behind-the-meter installation. They’re capable of operating in both grid-tied and microgrid applications.
The purpose of combining backup power with other use cases is to avoid the duplication of onsite equipment. Unlike a traditional UPS, the energy storage installation can be used for demand reduction in conjunction with backup power.
