Dynapower and Rapid Power are pleased to offer our customers the next generation in remote rectifier/power supply monitoring with our Remote Supervisory System (RSS). Our Remote Supervisory System is available in a variety of product packages ranging from basic arrangements capable of providing standard alarms, faults, and operating parameters for electrical conversion equipment to customizable versions to track non-standard, user specified functions such as AC and DC power levels, coolant flow rates and temperature, ambient temperature, humidity, etc. The system can be programmed to provide feedback to our engineering & technical service team at our factory in South Burlington, Vermont as well as the end user’s operating and supervisory personnel from anywhere in the world in the event of an alarm, fault, or milestone condition.

Distribution of information is user programmable, allowing for tiered access and frequency of communication to various users of the system as a function of need or condition. Feedback from this remote supervisory system to our engineering & technical service team provides information our technical staff can utilize to provide the customer immediate assistance should an alarm or fault exist and also allows for close monitoring of a condition over time if warranted. This inside look at rectifier alarms or faults allows the customer and our technical group to promptly respond and correct such conditions, reducing unplanned downtimeand thereby saving the customer money via increased throughput of product.

Remote supervisory system and interface features:

  • E-mail triggered by preset events or conditions such as process milestones like cycle completion, alarms, or faults with the logged information attached for analysis. Milestone, alarm or fault information can be instantaneously supplied to the customer to any e-mail address.
  • System and user defined web page for monitoring
  • Data acquisition using various communication protocols
  • Data logging into an internal database
  • Data retrieval from an internal database on the remote monitoring storage system via FTP link

Alarm or fault notification can be supplied through a variety of methods including:

  • Automatic e-mail alert to any e-mail address to if an alarm or fault condition exists. This functionality provides immediate access to the machine by our technical service group to assist in alarm or fault diagnosis with the customer. The ability to respond quickly allows for quick resolution and allows for the minimizing of unscheduled downtime.
  • SMS
  • FTP put and/or SNMP trap

Alarm summary and historical event tables are available through HTTP and via an FTP file transfer system.
