Multiple Outputs in One Enclosure

Dynapower’s multiple output-in-one power supply is a single enclosure with multiple independently controllable outputs. Air-cooled, water-cooled, SCR and switchmode power supplies can be packaged so that multiple outputs, ranging from two to twelve, can be designed into one common enclosure. SCR and switchmode technologies can be blended together into a single enclosure to suit the application of the power supplies as well. Our products ensure years of maintenance-free operation and a long operating lifetime with the most comprehensive warranty in the industry.

 There are several advantages when considering a multiple output packaging approach to specifying power supplies:

Application Example:
Multiple-Output-in-One-Enclosure Power Supply

On a plating line that requires three separate tanks for which ripple correction is required, the ideal solution is to package a two-in-one SCR power supply for two of the applications with a switchmode power supply containing a low ripple content.  Other options may also be to add an internal LC filter to limit the ripple content to the desired specification for the plating tank and design the unit as a three-in-one SCR power supply.

CONTROLLER OPTIONS

Dynapower set the standard for controls with our digital touchpad interface. The touchpad provides precision control and programmability. It features a digital read-out, status indication, and is available as an option on all new equipment. The touchpad can easily be retrofitted to your existing Dynapower units as well as SCR units supplied by our competitors. Dynapower’s touchpad is factory-ready to interface with automation, including the ability to accept and provide analog signals to monitor the output voltage and current as well as control via a serial interface.

This new device includes all of the features found in our touch pad controller such as system status monitoring, cycle timing, pulsing, interlocks, plus additional benefits from a flexible software platform which can be customized to your specific application. When operated in manual mode remote control can also be easily integrated using analog signals, Ethernet access and other means for connection to a network or multiple rectifiers.

Each process controller consists of a processor, control circuit and a touch screen display. Through automation, our controllers provide accurate and consistent process runs. Controllers are available to meet specific Military, Aerospace, and Nadcap audit requirements. Dynapower process controllers are available as an upgrade to any standard SCR rectifier, part of complete remanufacture, or as an addition to new power supplies. In addition to 24-hour customer service, Dynapower can provide modem interface with your controller for remote diagnostics and program updates. The touch screen and digital meters are NEMA 4 rated and all components are designed to withstand the harsh environment of the anodizing process.

MULTIPLE RUN MODES

Manual Mode
The manual control feature allows the user to adjust the voltage and current limits by entering values any time during a cycle.

Auto Mode
Process specific recipes are preconfigured into the controller. Upon selecting the recipe and starting the process the controller automatically adjusts the DC output. Prior to the end of cycle, an alarm will sound to notify the operator. At the end of cycle the DC output is turned o and the screen indicates the cycle is over. Each successful cycle is logged in event history for later reference or download.

Profile Mode
This feature is available on custom controllers. The profile mode operates much like auto mode. The user may configure multiple process specific recipes. Each recipe contains multiple steps. For each step the user sets: ramp or dwell, time or amp hours, voltage and current limit. Each profile is given a unique name to describe the part or process used for.
